Dog Name: Gremlin (we’ve been calling him Spin for short as my human children love Spider-Man)
Breed: Hound mix
Sex: Male Neutered
Age: 11 months
Weight: 35lbs
Medical Needs:none
Housebroken: yes
Crate trained: yes
Good in the car: yes, likes to be in a crate in the car. May get car sick
Good on a leash: yes, still working it. Very interested in sniffing around. Can be a little nervous and shy when seeing new people. He’s doing well.
Energy level:medium-high
Need a fenced in yard: no
Dog Friendly: fearful at first, may bark, he just needs extra time to adjust. Otherwise loves other dogs
If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Nope
Cat Friendly? Yes, curious, wants to play, but will leave them alone if he asked to do so.
Kid Friendly: yes, may be shy at first but with time and patience he will love them. Great with my 4 and 2 year old boys, stays out of their way or is gentle and sniffs (hoping for a pet)
If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? 1.5/2 years old, with adult supervision.
Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Very smart. Melts when you pet him, food motivated. Knows sit, his name, “go to your room”, drop it, stay or weight. Lay down is good as well. He would make any family happy, especially if they have children. He’s a great size and happy go lucky but smart and intuitive. He does amazing for baths and stays perfectly still and relaxed for nail trims.
