Mary Lou`s motto? `Why keep your tongue in when it’s always ready for treats or kisses?` This silly, sweet girl has perfected the art of the tongue-out pose, making her a certified pro at spreading smiles. Since coming into our care, Mary Lou has had mammary tumors removed (thankfully, they were benign!), and now she’s ready to leisurely enjoy the good life complete with belly rubs, sunny naps, and all the treats her heart desires. If you’re looking for a chill companion with a quirky sense of humor and a heart full of love, Mary Lou is your girl.
If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul to share your life with, Mary Lou is your girl. This lovely lady enjoys taking a leisurely approach to life, savoring the little things like a sunny spot to nap in or a quiet stroll by your side. Mary Lou is incredibly loving and has a calm, soothing presence that will melt your stress away. She gets along wonderfully with other chill, laid-back dogs who match her relaxed vibe. HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.
Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
