Meet the Pet
Meet Shakes! We had previously posted this sweet guy for adoption, but we decided to take him down to give him some time to decompress. After a week or so in Foster, this is what we’ve learned about shakes.
He’s a sweet boy with a whole lot of love to give. If he could live inside your skin, he would, but he’ll settle for a good cuddle! One of Shakes favorite activities is finding sticks in the backyard. He loves to play fetch with a good stick. He hasn’t fully grasped this concept with a ball yet. Shakes is still learning his manners. He knows a few basic commands, but tends to get excited and jump up and doesn’t realize his size. He enjoys walks but does pull when he sees something exciting.
He’s mostly housebroken, but occasionally has an accident, mostly due to stress when left alone. He is not crate-trained and will break out if put in one. That being said, Shakes would be best in a home where someone is there more often than not. Shakes is dog friendly, and gets along with the two smaller dogs in his foster home, however, he does prefer all the attention from his owner. So if you had another dog, that was also jealous, they would not make a good match, but if you had a laid-back submissive dog, they would be Great pals.
