Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Argo! He is a 1 1/2 yr old neutered male Siberian Husky that weighs 68lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/6 as a stray. He appears to have been well cared for as his fur is clean and soft yet his family has not come to reclaim him. He would love to find someone he can enjoy an active lifestyle with. He does need to have some manners training as he can be a bit stubborn and likes to let you know he is in charge by jumping and holding on tight to you, and would need to have additional training to let him know he does not need to do this. Due to this, it would be best for him to be in a home, not an apartment, with adults only, that are familiar with the breed, and willing to help him with training. He does know the sit command, takes treats gently and at times will lay down on his own. He walks a bit strongly on a leash, but with more walks, he will get better. Walking past other dogs he didn`t show interest in them, yet we always advise if there is another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. Having a secured backyard to run and play in then come back inside for cuddling time is just what this sweet boy dreams of. Come meet Argo!
