My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moose is a resilient and gentle giant seeking a loving home. Rescued from a challenging past, he has overcome malnourishment and now thrives on blended meals. Moose has a medical condition that limits his ability to open his mouth fully, but this hasn't slowed him down; he adeptly slurps his blended food. Despite these challenges, Moose remains a sweet soul, friendly with other dogs and great with kids. His ideal family will provide the special care he needs, including blended meals and attentive medical care. If you have room in your heart and home for this courageous pup, Moose is ready to share his love.

Our adoption fee is $100 for cats and $250 and up for dogs. We have a Senior to Senior adoption program - all pets 7 years of age up may be placed free of charge to a qualified senior citizen (age 65 and older).
.
All HOPE animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All HOPE animals are tested for heartworm, , feline leukemia, etc. and have been vaccinated as appropriate for the pet's age and species.

More about this rescue

We mainly rescue dogs and cats from local Animal Shelters/Control when those facilities are overcrowded. Our adoptable cats are located in our H.O.P.E. Pet Adoption Center in the Wilton Mall and dogs are in individual foster homes.

We have educational programs for children and adults about choosing a pet and the responsibilities of pet ownership, and safety around animals.

We welcome volunteers for any of these programs or for our fundraising committee.
