My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I`m Oslo. I`m a kitten full of energy, always ready to play with a toy mouse or chase a ball around. I might be a bit shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you, I`ll be your best friend. I have a sweet and affectionate nature, and I promise to bring joy to your life. Adopting me means endless fun and a loyal companion. Let`s create our happy forever together. I am considered a `special paws` adoption, which means my adoption fee is up to you! I have this thing called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH for short). I`m hoping to find a very special home, who can care for my special traits.

Cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) is a developmental condition in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls fine motor skills, balance, and coordination. The condition is not painful or contagious, and CH cats have a normal life expectancy. Since the cerebellum is responsible for purposeful movement and coordination the symptoms of this condition are most noticeable when ambulating (walking) and that they experience tremors. Since the condition is caused by a lack of development of the brain, there is no treatment. Affected animals tend to adapt to learn and adopt to their disability over time but may struggle with a change in environment and do best with some home modifications – like lower litterboxes, shallow food dishes, being able to avoid stairs etc.
