Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Boston is an energetic, social pup with a high-spirited personality. He enjoys chewing on rope toys, treats, and shows enthusiasm for play. This fella thrives with structure and loves engaging with people, though he can become overstimulated if introductions are rushed.
Boston would do best in an adult-only home that can help guide his energy and offer consistent training. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, Boston will be ready to be your new best friend.
Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Boston at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him.
Behavior notes:
01/07/2025 staff notes: Needs a slow intro to other dogs! Does best with a pack walk first and then proceeding to a slow face meet. He gets frustrated quickly and if the meet is done too quickly he can get reactive and snappy.

BEHAVIOR EVALUATION: Boston
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
In the kennel, Boston was on the back side for cleaning and came up to the door with a wagging tail, open mouth panting, and had soft eyes.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls moderately
HANDLING :
In the room, Boston came darting in and jumped all over the room. He is like a kangaroo and prefers to be in the air versus the ground, continuing to hop and jump onto everything and everyone. He allowed all handling and is a high energy puppy. Getting Boston to sit still was a bit of a challenge as he knows how to sit, but doesn't like to stay seated and jumps in the air for his treats. After some time of play and pets, he began mounting me and was able to be pulled off but kept going back to it. He redirects onto toys sometimes but most items like pet correctors and treats work. If left alone for too long he will chew up the leash and gnaw at it, use some toys or treats and he will stop.
PLAY:
Engages in play – will leash bite but redirects with treats and other toys
TOYS:
Prefers to chew on rope like toys
1/6/25: APO staff notes: dog appears very social and sweet, constantly soliciting attention. Dog allowed most forms of handling, allow strangers to handle him as welland can be placed in truck without muzzle.
