Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lisy is an adorable 7 month old puppy. Guessed to be German Shepherd mix she currently weighs around 30 pounds and she will likely grow into a medium size dog. With her soft coat, puppy dog eyes, floppy ears and joyfull personality she will wiggle her way into your heart. Lisy is shy at first meeting but once she warms up to you this girl is really affectionate. Lisy loves to cuddle and will snuggle up with you on the couch and fall asleep. She seems pretty uninterested in cats, and is very dog friendly, and would enjoy a home with another pup to play with. Lisy is smart and treat motivated. House training is progressing, Lisy is really starting to get it and has started asking to go out. Accidents do still happen and a new family for Lisy will need to keep up the training. Lisy can be left alone in her crate and will go into it voluntarily to relax and sleeps there overnight (although she would sleep happily sleep through the night with her foster mom on the couch). Lisy seems to have grown out of the most destructive period of puppy hood (she doesn't try to chew on everything in site) but she does love a bully stick and to chew on her toys. This little one is a sweet, exuberant, and bouncy playful girl who enjoys jumping after and chasing a ball and playing with her toys. Lisy has met kids, and did great! Lisy has had somewhat limited exposure to the big wide world and her foster has started getting her out and about to experience new places. The warmer weather means she has gotten out for more walks in the local natural areas and she has really enjoyed these (although rides in the car are still not her favorite thing). An adopter should be willing to continue to patiently build Lisy's confidence in the greater world and an adult dog in the home would really help her along. Come meet her in Longmont!

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
