My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lemon! She was just rescued in a park in Melbourne. A Good Samaritan found her and she let him pick her right up! She knew she didn't belong out there! Lemon is a confident girl, a true Dutch bunny.

We currently have her alongside some other fosters and we suspect the smells of the other bunnies are making her a little snappy. We think that once she is fixed and in a home away from unfamiliar bunnies that she will feel more at ease. She does allow pets on the head. Because she is a bit feisty as of now, we wouldn't recommend her for kids. Don't let that dissuade you from considering her! We have seen a number of bunnies behave like that when they are around other bunny smells but are sweet as pie otherwise.

Send us a message if you'd like to meet Lemon!

We are a foster-based rescue. We do not have a shelter. Get in touch to set up a meeting to see our bunnies!

More about this rescue

Our rescue started in 2019 when an out of control breeding situation required help. We helped a homeowner get 100+ bunnies fixed and into homes. The need is so great in our county that we kept rescuing.

We adopt to indoor homes because:
- your bunny should be a part of your family! They will be happy, safe.
- Florida temperatures are too extreme for domestic rabbits.
- a hutch is not enough! Buns need space for exercise, social interaction, protection from the elements, mites, fleas, predators, and diseases.
