My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penne, a beautiful golden bunny, was found roaming outside and was rescued by an animal lover who was concerned about her. This kind person took her in and held on to her until we could bring her in to the rescue. Penne has put her unfortunate beginnings behind her and is a happy and friendly girl. She is sweet and absolutely adorable, but also a little bit mischievous. She has escaped from her pen in her foster home a few times to sneak up the stairs, into the bedrooms and under the beds the first chance she gets. Penne is extremely enthusiastic about food and treats and will climb on your leg waiting to be fed. She is great with kids and smaller dogs; her comfort level around big dogs is not known. She likes to chew and so will need plenty of chew toys. Penne is a very tidy girl with impeccable litter box habits and is a good candidate for free roaming bunny. Because of her friendly nature she would probably enjoy having a bunny friend. This sweetie pie deserves a loving forever home as her New Year’s present!

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
