Don't let his big stature fool you, Moose is a sweet hound dog! At 5 years old, Moose is looking for his forever home. Volunteers describe him as gentle and sweet. He does not pull on walks and is easy to collar and leash. He has not shown reactivity to other dogs when walking through the kennels and waits patiently in his kennel until it's his turn to go out. Moose would likely do best in an easy going home where he can relax and get love from humans but have space when he chooses. Moose can't wait to meet you!
Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $400 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment.
