My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the pup who is as sweet as her name suggests; Toffee!

Toffee arrived at FVHA as an injured stray, it is suspected that she was hit by a car.

This little sweetheart is best described as silly, affectionate, and resilient! Despite what she`s been through, Toffee has a never ending happy-go-lucky spirit and smile on her face. When Toffee arrived at FVHA it was clear she was in need of medical attention. Our amazing veterinary team determined she needed FHO surgery on both of her hind legs. This is the removal of the femoral head and neck of a dog`s femur bone. She had a long road to recovery but with the help of vet staff, care staff, fosters, and donors, Toffee is finally ready to find her furever home!

Along her journey we have discovered that Toffee would prefer to be an only dog! She might enjoy playdates with other dogs but prefers to be the center of attention. She has shown good behaviors around kids and cats but we would recommend setting her up for success with slow introductions.

Toffee is spayed, up to date on core vaccinations, has received flea, tick, & heartworm prevention, is dewormed, and microchipped!
