My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tony is a full bred cane corso. He was acquired from a breeder as a puppy and has been with his family since. Due to his family moving to Japan because of the military and restrictions they are unable to take him. His family is devastated and wants a good home for him. Tony is a huge love bug with no behavior issues. He is great with kids since he lives with them and goes to doggy daycare. Loves attention and sometimes thinks he's a lap dog. Loves his toys and playtime. He is 130lbs , neutered, and up to date on vaccinations.

If we are adopting out a dog who has been trained the adopter must agree to one training session the day they adopt the dog (coming home). If we decide additional training sessions will be needed we will advise the adopter prior to adoption.

More about this rescue

We are a veteran-run dog rescue based in San Diego, California. Our goal is to change the rescue world. We adopt our dogs to any loving and qualified homes, but we also provide ESAs for military veterans. With The Heroic Tail’s model, we are not only able to rescue dogs from high-kill shelters who happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, but we are also able to help the dogs deemed “unadoptable” and give them a better chance at a happy and healthy life!
