My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toasty's journey to SAVE started when a kind-hearted Good Samaritan found him and contacted animal control. Now, he's safe, warm, loved, and ready for his forever home!

This sweet, affectionate boy will melt your heart with his gentle demeanor and love-seeking personality. Toasty adores attention and will happily seek you out for cuddles. He's also a team player when it comes to other cats, getting along wonderfully with feline friends.

Toasty was born with a missing right eye, but don't let that fool you-it doesn't slow him down or require any special care. He's perfectly healthy and happy! Although SAVE does not condone declawing cats, Toasty did come to us as a front-declawed.

If you're looking for a loving companion who's ready to bring warmth and happiness to your home, Toasty is the perfect match! Will you be the one to give this special boy the love he deserves?

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
