Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi. My name is Candace, and I am a three-year-old Cavalier King Charles. I am a very scared little girl who is just learning that humans are not bad. I came from a hoarding situation where I was not socialized at all, and my humans probably weren’t good to me. My foster mom has been teaching me that there are good humans in this world. I live with both dogs and cats, and I love them both. My foster mom can see that I’m just bursting to play with other dogs. She says I’m a sweet little girl who has already learned to potty outside. Because I’m so scared, I am considered a flight risk and would need a fenced in backyard. I am not good with the whole leash training because I am so scared so I will need continued work with that. I am going to need a special adopter who knows that cuddling isn’t soothing to me yet. My human is going to need to be patient and willing to let me take my time to know that humans are good. My ideal home would have a playful dog in residence so I can learn how to be a dog and have a playmate. Since the world is so scary, children might not be the best in my life. Candice is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Candice’s adoption fee is $400.00.
