Hey there, everyone! I’m Stormy, a sweet, fun-loving, and playful tortoiseshell gal who displays the proverbial sassy “tortitude” by being energetic and opinionated. Many cultures believe that torties bring good luck, and who doesn’t need that?
I was only five weeks old when my two siblings and I were rescued from a filthy hoarding situation in the Heights. The lady became ill, and the neighbors jumped in and removed twenty adult cats and three litters of kittens. Tux, Taco, and I were jubilant that Foster Meowmy spoke up for us because she brought us to a nice, clean, healthy foster home where we could tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle like kittens are supposed to do.
After my arrival, it didn’t take Foster Meowmy to notice that I wobbled slightly when I walked. The vet diagnosed me as having an extremely mild case of “wobbly cat syndrome.” This is a congenital disorder that was passed in utero, probably because my pregnant momma was severely malnourished in the hoarding situation. Consequently the part of my brain that controls my fine motor skills and coordination is stunted, so I waddle slightly when I walk and often topple over when I attempt to jump down from the sofa. I’ve been a champ at compensating, and otherwise I’m a healthy, loving kitty who just needs a little help staying away from dangerous environments.
Now I’m ready to embark on the adventure of finding my forever home. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate kitten who brings you good luck in exchange for your compassionate care, I’m the gal for you. Arrange to meet me today! Although we’re available separately, consider adopting me with one of my siblings. We could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation.

If you are interested in Stormy and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.
