Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Gus enjoys being loved - belly rubs, hugs, laying beside me, sits on my lap occasionally (he will gently put my fingers in his mouth), we play outside with his toys (he hasn't learned to bring them back to me yet). He knows the command to sit. He loves treats as rewards when he obeys (which is often). He enjoys car rides (we do short rides in our neighborhood). He enjoys playing with the neighbor's dog. He doesn't bark alot .... when he wants to potty (low whine)and when I am getting his food ready (loud bark). When we are outside, he doesn't pay attention to dogs barking in the neighborhood.
He hasn't been around small dogs. He acts like he would chase my cat if he had the opportunity. He hasn't been around children. He is most comfortable around women. Takes a few minutes to warm up to men.
He prefers having someone around or his girlfriend (a lab mix). He isn't leash trained very well. He is a great dog...very submissive.
Route 66 Rescue adoption agreement includes inside home, fenced yard, heartworm and flea preventative, dog friendly pets, routine veterinary vaccinations and care, etc.
Please contact Route 66 Rescue at route66rescue@yahoo.com if you are interested in Gus.
