My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Jace, a white and brown bulldog mix, though my foster thinks I might be closer to a hound/pit mix. I'm approximately 3 years old, 55 pounds, neutered, and vaccinated. I was heartworm positive, but I've completed treatment and will need to be tested again in September. I'm house trained and mostly crate trained, though I'm still getting used to it. I'm working on my leash training as I tend to pull a bit. I'm not good with dogs, likely out of fear rather than true aggression, but I do get along well with cats. I was chained in a yard for most of my life and came into rescue nothing but skin and bones. One side of my face will never fill in due to what the vet thinks is an old injury, but that doesn't stop me from being a cuddly lover. I'm currently in Clinton, SC, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. If you're looking for a loving companion, I'm here for you!

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable dogs are all in various foster homes and can be met by contacting rescue. Rescue will then provide foster home's contact information. Meet and greets will be arranged between foster and potential adopters. We also have adoption events at Petsmart on various dates which can be checked on our Facebook page, Operation Save a Shelter Dog.

More about this rescue

Our Mission

Operation Save A Shelter Dog is a foster based, IRS-recognized 501c(3) rescue whose mission is to work with shelters on the East Coast by saving dogs at high risk of euthanasia or that have little hope of adoption in their current condition. Not only is it our goal to find furever homes for our dogs, but also to educate the public on the importance of spaying, neutering, vaccinating and providing preventative care for their pets.
