Personality: Phoenix is a bold and confident puppy with a big personality! Active and curious, he loves running around the yard, playing with toys, and wrestling with his brother. While his natural curiosity keeps life entertaining, it also means he can get into a bit of mischief. Phoenix’s fearless and playful nature makes him a great fit for an active family ready to embrace his adventurous spirit.

Education: Working on leash, crate and potty training. Will need puppy lessons.

Favorite Activities: Playing tug of war with his rope toys. Eating- food and treats! Cuddling. Quiet time near the outdoor fire pit.

Looking for: A loving home with someone who will be committed to raising a puppy. Phoenix would thrive in an active home with older children and larger dogs who can match his energy and playful nature. He requires moderate to high activity to stay engaged and prevent boredom, making him an excellent companion for a family that enjoys outdoor adventures or has a spacious yard. Phoenix is comfortable being left alone during the day as long as he has the company of other dogs and space to exercise.

We prioritize local San Diego applicants. We do not provide transport of dogs to other states, and don't allow the dogs to fly in the cargo of the plane.
Our adoption process from start to finish, involves 3 standard forms, and 2 situational.
All potential applicants must be capable of providing their adopted pet with routine and emergency veterinary care (yearly health checks, keeping vaccinations current, heartworm/flea preventatives, and immediate care in the event the animal is sick or injured). They are required to license their pet, and keep an identification tag on their pet at all times.
All applicants must agree to a home check, and provide us with a veterinary reference, or personal references if you're a first-time pet owner. Our home checks are not to invade the privacy of the applicants, we do this to ensure the pet is going into a safe home. We do not discriminate against non-homeowners, or those living in apartments, condos, or otherwise.
Our adoption fees vary from $150-1000.
Applicants must agree in writing that if for any reason they are unable to keep or care for their pet, the pet will be surrendered back to our rescue and not re-homed, turned over to a shelter, pound, rescue, new owner, sold, etc.

Overview
The Animal Pad is a nonprofit, all-breed dog rescue devoted to saving the lives of dogs facing euthanasia at high kill animal shelters and off the streets of Mexico. We rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home locally.

We are dedicated to animal advocacy, and educating dog owners on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We are a foster based rescue, and rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of the amazing people who make donations toward the rescue and care of the dogs we save.
