Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A petite, mild-mannered babydoll with a soft meow; sometimes a “squeaky” meow. Raven has a shiny black coat; soft as silk.
Raven tested FIV positive, and will be tested again when she is a little older. The SNAP combo test looks only for antibodies. She maybe inherited these antibodies from her cat mom. FIV positive kitties can have a full, long and healthy life as long as they are indoor only cats. A link to more information regarding FIV positive is included below.
Indoor, Litterbox trained, Lived with other cats in household and got along very well
Sociable, friendly, sweet and gentle. Talkative; likes to greet her humans with “chirping.”
Loves affection . . . both to get it and give it. Raven loves to be petted, snuggle, and rub your legs. Great lap cat; will swish her tail with slow, rhythmic movement to indicate happiness, contentment, and comfort. There will also be lots of purring. Loves to hear her name, how much she is loved, and compliments
Playful. She plays with just about anything; bottle tops, binder clips, small soft cat toys, small pom poms or balls and especially enjoys tearing up paper. Enjoys pouncing and playing with interactive cat wands. Raven also loves her scratching post and cat trees.
Occasionally watches tv. Is fascinated with moving activity on computer monitors and very willing to assist with typing. Also willing to lay next to you in her own soft chair while you work.
Loves anything fish-flavored; especially Fancy Feast Tender Ocean Whitefish Feast Kitten or Fancy Feast Tuna Feast in Gravy Grilled also fish-flavored treats (ie oceanfish, salmon, tuna). Her “food” in the morning: Fancy Feast and remaining “food” times has been dry food, Purina One +Plus Healthy.

More about this rescue
Animal Justice League (AJL) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt dog and cat rescue organization with a focus on the Oak Forest and Garden Oaks neighborhoods of Houston, TX. AJL was formed on January 27, 2015, but really, the work began long before then!
In a neighborhood that often serves as a dumping ground for unwanted animals, in a city that is overridden with homeless pets, and shelters that are at capacity, we saw a need and knew it was time to make a difference.
We rescue dogs off of the brutal streets of Houston, help care for those that are no longer wanted or cared for by their previous owners, and are registered to pull dogs and cats from the city, county, and nearby shelters. We also help reduce the community cat and kitten population through a robust TNR (trap, neuter, return) program.
Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through rescue, education, and outreach. Help us make our mission a reality!
