Hello there! My name is Ralph and I'm a handsome gray tabby kitty. I'm a bit shy and conflicted right now, but gentle movements and soft talk will help me to feel more comfortable and open up. So, let's take our time getting to know each other. I enjoy having company and like it when you talk to me. When I'm comfortable with you, I like to rub against you and get head rubs. I like lounging in my bed keeping an eye on my world. What do I do to relax? I make biscuits! I happen to be looking for a patient caring person to help me to blossom and live my best kitty life. Once you get to know me, you'll see what a sweet, charming boy I am. Do you think you could be my person? I hope so! You should come by the shelter so we can get acquainted. Operating the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, an open-admission facility and Alexandria’s only animal shelter, the League provides care for more than 3,500 animals every year, including strays, lost pets, local wildlife, rescue animals, and pets surrendered by their owners. Serving the community since 1946, the League has contracted with the City of Alexandria to provide animal care, control, and sheltering services since 1989.
