My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weaver is a 2-year-old, 60-pound German Shepherd with a heart full of joy and energy! Found as a stray, this happy boy is ready to settle into his forever home and share his incredible spirit with his new family.

Weaver’s playful and cheerful personality makes him the life of the party. He gets along wonderfully with all dogs and loves making new furry friends, but he’s just as eager to bond with his humans. Weaver is full of silly quirks, loves to snuggle, and finds ways to calm himself down if he gets bored—usually with a trusty bone.

This bright boy is quick to learn and already knows commands like sit, down, and wait. He’s fully potty trained and will even let you know when it’s time for a potty break. Weaver is also crate trained, although he may cry a bit at first—but he can be tempted with a few pieces of hotdog!

Weaver’s ideal home is one where he can be himself: silly, loving, and surrounded by fun and family. Whether he’s playing, snuggling, or relaxing by your side, Weaver’s infectious joy will light up any room.

Are you ready to welcome this well-rounded, gentle, and playful boy into your life? Weaver is waiting to meet you!
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 8, 2025, 3:14 pm

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
