Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hello, I`m Poppy! I`m a sweet, playful soul, around 1 year old and I’m full sized at just 21 pounds. They call me a `Velcro dog` because I stick to you like glue. I`m always ready for a run around the yard or a cuddle session on the couch. If you`re feeling down, I`ll be there to cheer you up with my wagging tail and playful spirit. I`m also a great listener, so feel free to tell me all about your day. I love other dogs and can handle myself amongst some of the biggest around. I’m doing wonderful with house training but I still need someone patient while I get more comfortable in my crate. I promise to be your loyal companion, through thick and thin. Why should you adopt me? Because I will love you unconditionally and bring joy and laughter to your life every day!
Poppy is due to be spayed on 1/13 and will be ready for adoption once she has recovered. She is already microchipped and has been kept current on vaccines and monthly preventatives. You can email julianshumate@gmail.com with any questions or fill out an application here: https://humanesocietyofwilkes.org/adopt/application/julians. To ensure your application was received please email the foster home. You can expect an email response within a week of applying.
