My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koda, Koda, Koda!

While Koda is (very) short in stature, he sets a high bar for personality, spunk, and being the waddliest waddler that ever waddled. Koda inspires joy. He has a bright expression and a quirky spirit. He has been described as curious, gentle, and eager by adults he loves. He is truly one of a kind! While Koda is friend-shaped, he would do best as the youngest member of the household (so no kiddos) and the only pet in the home. But this little old man is full of companionship, and is so excited to call you his person. He's mellow and polite on walks around the neighborhood, and our volunteer groomer said he was a perfect gentleman for bath time and his nail trims. His motto in life: you're never too old for a cookie!

Curious about Koda? Come meet him and talk with our adoptions counselors to see if you are meant to be!

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
