My mom adopted Cai as a puppy 7 years ago. We recently moved her from rural Mississippi to the Houston area, and her senior living apartment complex does not allow pets over 20 pounds. Cai is a big boy at around 100 pounds! He has been raised around cats since he was a puppy and loves them as family. We have been fostering Cai for a little over a week, and he is adjusting very well. He needed socialization and exposure to urban life. He is a big baby who loves hugs! My mom's neighbor's dogs harrassed Cai, so he may need extra support to adjust to other dogs. He has never been around children, but I think he would probably do fine with older kids. My biggest concern is his size. Cai will make a great dog for someone; we just are not in the position to have a dog longterm at the moment.
