Meet Hazel. She is a 3 year old mixed breed dog who is house and crate trained. As you can see, she has weight to gain, even though she weighs 42 lbs. Hazel is food motivated and will take nicely from your hand.
Hazel has been in a shelter for a year and a half with no socializing. She is so sweet but doesn't trust humans. She enjoys other dogs and will follow them around. For these reasons, she needs a furever home with other dogs. She is starting to play with toys and truly loves running in the yard. She appears to walk well on a leash. It is unknown how she is around kids and cats but with her being so scared older kids are recommended, due to young children's sudden movements.
Hazel is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is working on socializing in New Freedom,PA.

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter.
