My name is Joey!

We recently took in Joey to rescue him from being euthanized, however our other dog is not taking well to having a new dog in the home and we are looking for help in re-homing him or finding a no-kill shelter that will take him. He is a 3-year-old male blue heeler mix, weighs 50 lbs, was recently neutered and is heart worm positive but completed all of his heart worm treatments.

He is great when approaching other dogs and wants to be playful with them and seems to be good with children as we have seen him interact with a 10 year old boy only once, but was very calm during that interaction.

He is potty trained and knows basic commands, like 'sit'. He has a very laid back and calm demeanor aside from his occasional zoomies. He loves cuddling and playing with plushy toys. He is also crate trained and sleeps in his crate with no complaints.

Please help us find Joey a loving new family!
