Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
A charming almost seven-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix from Milford, MA, with a snow-white coat accented by a dark patch on her face and faint spots that make her truly one of a kind. Named after the legendary Dolly Parton, this lovable girl is a mix of sweetness, charisma, and affection!
Dolly is a loyal and affectionate companion who adores cuddling with her humans and her favorite blanket. She’s the perfect mix of laid-back and playful—enjoying walks and zoomies in the yard but ready to wind down for a cozy nap soon after. A true shadow, she loves following her humans around, always eager to lend her “assistance” with household tasks. While Dolly enjoys being close, she’s crate-trained and perfectly fine being left at home for a few hours while her family runs errands. She’s also a great car companion and happy to tag along for adventures!
While Dolly is an affectionate sweetheart, she does have some clear boundaries that her new family will need to respect. She has exhibited protective behavior when her space has been invaded, particularly by young children. There were two incidents where she bit: once when a young child laid on her and touched her back legs roughly, and another time when a child entered her crate area uninvited. These incidents highlight Dolly’s need for a calm, child-free home with adults or older children who understand and respect her space. She has no history of aggressive behavior with adults or older kids who respect her boundaries.
This sweet girl is looking for a calm home where she can be the center of attention—literally! Dolly needs to be the only dog in the household. While she enjoys socializing with other dogs on walks or at daycare, she doesn’t like sharing her humans’ affection at home. She’s happiest as the solo star in a home that values her loyalty and affectionate nature.
Dolly’s low-energy lifestyle, coupled with her endearing quirks like sunbathing in warm weather and her quiet, watchful nature, make her a wonderful companion for the right family. She knows commands like sit, stay, and leave it, and her eagerness to please makes her a joy to have around!
To make sure that Dolly has a great start with her new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation.
