Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Princess is a 4 lb chihuahua with a big heart and a lot to learn! Rescued from a breeder, she’s just beginning to adjust to life in a home, and she’s making progress every day. Princess will need a patient and loving family who understands that building trust takes time. She is still learning how to accept affection, and while she’ll wag her tail when spoken to, she can get a little stiff if you try to pick her up or pet her. However, she does love to sleep in bed with you, and she’s quite content to curl up close for comfort.
Princess is currently using potty pads, as she’s still adjusting to outdoor potty training. She’ll need help with that, so a secure and safe yard is a must—she’s very small and could be hard to catch if she runs off. Having another dog in the home would be a big benefit to show her how to be part of the family and learn how to trust people.
This little lady can be bossy, especially with her three other dog friends, but she’s also very vocal and will bark if she’s not tucked in for bed with you. When held, she enjoys sitting up on your chest, but be careful—she’s easily spooked and may jump suddenly.
Princess will be spayed on January 14th and will be ready for adoption the following weekend. She requires an extra secure fenced yard due to her small size and could thrive with a companion dog. If you have the patience, love, and a safe environment for this little girl, she’ll bring endless joy to your life! I would not suggest kids in her home unless they are older.

More about this rescue
Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.
Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
