My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Harley
Harley is a 4-year-old Harlequin Great Dane with a calm and laid-back demeanor. Weighing around 100 pounds, she is a classic gentle giant who loves nothing more than lounging by your side and soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She is not shy about nudging you for more pets if you stop!

We adopted Harley from a family that could no longer care for her, unaware that she had some underlying issues. Shortly after bringing her home, we discovered she has heartworms. We have started her treatment, and she is responding well. She is not spayed due to this.

Unfortunately, due to her protective nature, Harley has shown aggression toward other dogs and recently toward our toddler. This has been a heartbreaking decision, but for everyone's safety, we believe Harley would thrive in a home that suits her specific needs.

She bonds strongly with her humans and can be protective, so she will thrive with someone who can provide consistent guidance and lots of affection.
