Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! I'm Cruiser, a 7 year old Terrier mix. I'm one healthy and active guy with a friendly personality who loves to play fetch!
When it comes to food and toys, I'm a bit of a lone wolf. I like to keep those all to myself, so it's best if I'm the only dog in the house. Other dogs make me a little nervous, and small kids? Nope, not my thing. I prefer the company of adults who understand my need for space and can give me all the love and attention I crave.
I struggle with other dogs in my space, so I like a little room between me and other dogs on our walks. Car rides are my absolute favorite-nothing beats the wind in my fur and the sights whizzing by. When I'm not cruising in the car, I'm a master at commands like sit, lay down, shake, speak, stay, and wait and I'm housetrained.
Fetch is my ultimate game. Give me 30 minutes to an hour of fetch or playtime outside, and I'm a happy camper. Afterward, I'm all about those couch cuddles and getting pets from my humans.
I thrive in a environment where it's just me and my favorite people. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet, and playful companion who's content with simple pleasures, I'm your guy. Just promise me lots of fetch and cozy couch time, and I'll be the perfect boy for you.

We are a foster-based, volunteer-driven rescue. All SDRO dogs available for adoption are listed on our website. The listing includes information to help you decide if one of our dogs is right for your household. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please complete an online application. If your home suits the dog's needs, we'll call you to discuss your application and ask any follow-up questions. Our experienced adoption coordinator will discuss the dog’s needs with you to help determine if your home is the right fit. Since we do not operate a shelter and all our dogs are in foster care, a meet-and-greet will be your first opportunity to meet the dog face-to-face.
