My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Soba arrived in his foster home at the end of August with his two sisters and brother after being found under a garden shed. His first few months in the wild made him a little shy around humans and easily put on guard, but he has made great progress. Thanks in part to treats, which are an excellent source of motivation for him, he has become very affectionate. He seeks out the company of his foster human, purrs a lot, bakes cookies, loves to give and receive kisses, sometimes to the point of drooling. He loves playing with his siblings, chasing corks, shoelaces and lasers, but doesn't like games that are too noisy. His favorite is, unsurprisingly, throwing treats around the house. However, he still doesn't like being lifted, and sudden movements make him run away. Gentle Soba will be very happy in the company of other cats, or alone with people who will give him time to acclimatize to his new life. Soba would not be a good match for a family with children. Soba is a kitten therefore the adoption fees for him are $340. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is not tested for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia (FeLV) but his sister Mochi is negative for both viruses. You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation during the first 3 months following the adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.
