Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! My name is Dixie and I`m a fun-loving, outgoing pup who`s always ready for an adventure. Whether it`s chasing squirrels in the park or exploring new trails, I`m game for anything! I`m a social butterfly and love making new friends, both human and canine. You can always count on me to greet you with a wagging tail and a big, sloppy kiss. I may be a little rambunctious at times, but I promise I`m working on my manners. So, if you`re looking for a furry travel companion to join you on your next great journey, I`m your girl! Let`s hit the road and see where the path takes us. I am full grown at ~60lbs. How did I get here? Transferred from Harnett County Animal Shelter.
**I will be spayed prior to going home with you. I am currently living at the admission center - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet me in person! I have been diagnosed with heartworm disease and will begin treatment soon - please speak with an adoption specialist for details.**
~My adoption fee is $120.00.~

More about this rescue
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,500 animals through its innovative adoption programs.
The mission of the SPCA is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption.
The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our annual operating budget of $3 million. The SPCA of Wake County is not affiliated with, nor do we receive funding from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
