My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have zoomed past all the big eves of the season, now we just have one wee little eve left... the sweetest Eve ...lil miss Eve-y-bug.
We can't find enough words to describe how wonderful this little Eve is. She came to us in very ruff shape. We hoped she would overcome all that was up against her and she did not disappoint us. She never let it get her down. She seemed to fight hard because she finally had people who cared about her. Now it's our turn not to let her down. We are searching for the best family to give this sweet girl a beautiful home.

🔆🔆🔆🔆🔆
Lighthearted and fun like a yard full of lightening bugs in summer.
She will brighten your days and be the most polite companion for all you adventures.

💗💗💗💗💗
The sweetest of hearts, sweet personality, gentle and loving.
She has a Timid nature until she knows what you want her to do.

🍬🍬🍬🍬🍬
Sweet & petite❣️
32 pounds
The perfect size for car rides, sofa surfing, nature hikes and warming you up on cold days. This gal is up for anything you want to do.

🐾🐾She checks in often and will be willing to follow her leader up the street in a snow storm and will bounce through the snow piles just to make you laugh. She seems so proud of herself when she brings joy and happiness. She is an easy walker, and loves exploring with her favorite hooman friends.

👕👗🧥She loves dress up, bundle up and her favorite of all- snuggle up.
She is already planning her Halloween costume.. of course she wants to be a lady bug!!
You don't want to miss any more holiday eves without this gal in your life!!

She doesn't seem to mind a thing. Due to her medical needs she will do best in a home without any cranky cats ready to throw her a right hook. Her lashes turn inward, causing discomfort, but she will have corrective Entropion eye surgery and be fit as a fiddle and ready to see the beautiful new life waiting for her.

She can't want to fill your heart with her sweet lovey sunshine. She dreams of a cuddle session snuggled up in a comfy blanket watching her favorite movie- A Bugs life of course!
We don't one more eve to pass by without getting our Eve-y-bug in your home getting lots of love. This girl deserves it ... and maybe you to do❣️

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
