My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Eirene “Re”!

Just look at those adorable ears!

Eirene’s story began in the back parking lot of a PetSmart—by the dumpsters, to be exact—where her foster mom and a couple of good samaritans worked tirelessly to rescue her and her siblings. While we’re still trying to trap the rest of her family (wish us luck!), Eirene has come so far from the terrified and angry kitten we first met.

Today, she’s sweet, cuddly, and absolutely gorgeous! Though still a bit timid and shy, Eirene loves being held and will reward you with the sweetest purrs.

She would thrive in a quieter home without dogs—understandably, given her past. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate kitty who LOVES to be carried around, Eirene might just be your perfect match!

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
