My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weezie is a pretty little girl with a big personality! She knows what she likes and isn’t afraid to say it, Weezie is a sweetheart who loves to explore and make the most of every moment. She’s always curious about what’s around the next corner and has a playful, adventurous spirit that will keep you smiling. Weezie would thrive in a home where she can be her fun self with plenty of love and space to roam. If you’re looking for a spunky, sweet companion, Weezie’s your girl!

Here's some notes from her foster:

Weezie is blind/visually impaired, but she can notice high contrasting colors to help her navigate up/down curbs. She's able to navigate within my home quite well and she does surprisingly well outside.

Weezie would be able to manage going up and down one step. I live in a townhome and we have a number of curbs on our property. While I keep her on a leash at all times, I can guide her if she mistakenly doesn't see the curb. However, we have a few curbs painted red and she can tell she needs to go down or up.

I also have a small patio and she enjoyed navigating through the pots, taking in all the smells. She is potty trained too! I do take her out about 4 times a day to go potty outside and she goes pee real quick. If she has the need to pee, and can't go outside, she will pop out of bed and go potty on her pee pad.

Weezie is a chill dog at home. She mostly naps all day. She sleeps solid at night and I do not need to get up at any odd hours of the night to attend to her. She's content to snuggle with me and my husband. She also enjoys being carried around.

I will add that she is particular around other dogs. While she is an independent lady she was able to make a friend at last Saturday's adoption event.
