Rafik is a lovable, energetic pup ready to bring joy to your life. This happy boy was found in the middle of the road. Rafik is very playful, he can play all day long with foster’s dogs. Rafik loves to be by your side—he's the perfect Velcro dog! Rafik is eager to learn, gets excited to be on leash, and he would thrive with ongoing training and mental stimulation. While he can be a bit shy and uncertain around new people and dogs, given the time to adjust and realize he’s safe, Rafik quickly transforms into the best friend anyone could ask for.

Rafik is in a foster home with other dogs that he does well with.

Rafik is heartworm positive but please don't let that rule him out for you, he is currently on the slow approach to treatment which means he takes additional medication to his heartworm prevention every six months only (this can be provided by the rescue)

Additional adoption info

$200 (including tax) adoption fee for dogs includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, heart worm test, microchip, deworming, and heartworm and flea preventatives while the dog is in our care.

$85 for cats includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, deworming and flea prevention while the animal is on our care and FeLuk / FIV test.

Almost Home Pet Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Katy (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fee ($200 inc. tax) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip and heartworm test for dogs over 8 months of age.
