Description: I am a spayed female, white Siberian Husky.

Age: I am estimated to be about 1 year and 8 months old.

Weight: I weigh approximately 40 pounds.

More Info: I have been at the shelter since Dec 10, 2024.

Pinky is a young husky mix, with lots of energy and love to give. She tends to stay close seeking attention and security. She would benefit from training and lots of play time to bring out her best qualities. While she can jump up in greeting, she does settle in once she is getting the attention she craves. She was friendly, but a little timid when meeting another similar sized female dog. Pinky is ready for a new family and we are recommending a home with children ages 12 and older.

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
