My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joy really deserves her delightful name. This 1-year-old Aussie mix loves to be near people and soak up attention. She is a fantastic snuggler who is happy to cuddle with her favorite people. Joy also plays with toys and has started learning to play fetch. She has great energy and would likely be a natural at agility. She’s very fast and she vaults over her foster sister when they’re playing.

Because Joy is deaf, she is quickly picking up hand signals. She already knows “sit” and “down” and is working on “stay” and “come.” She’s definitely food motivated, so training should be fun. Joy is potty trained and does well in her crate overnight. She’s starting to get the hang of leash walking and enjoys adventures.

Joy needs a home with a physical, fenced yard. She’d love to have a new person who is familiar with an active dog and ready to take her out exploring the world. Joy would like a dog buddy, but she would be fine as the only dog too. This sweet and happy pup is being fostered in the St. Louis area.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step in adoption will be to fill out an application. Once the application is approved, we will contact you. We may also request a home visit which will be done by one of our volunteers. Our goal is to not only find our pups a safe home but ensure it is a good match for the adopter and the pup.

Our adoption donation fee is $300.00. This includes the spay/neuter and the pup being current on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped.
