My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady Bug is an approximately 9 month old large terrier mix. She can be shy at first, but really warms up quickly! She seeks affection and wants to be a cuddle bug. Lady is currently living with two little kids (2 and 4 year olds) and seems to love the chaos of the house. She does a good job of playing during play time and then relaxing the rest of the day. She gets along with the older resident dog, but would benefit from a home with more dog socialization. As Lady Bug becomes more accustomed to her foster home, she has started really loving playing fetch and chase with her little humans. Lady Bug would make an excellent running and hiking dog and a great family pet.
Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete.

All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Lady Bug's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Lady Bug, or another CAWS animal, please fill out an application here: http://caws.org/adoption-application. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
