Her bio when she was at the shelter in Georgia:

Hi, I’m VIVIAN. I know I’m not the easiest to notice, but if you give me a chance, I promise I’ll show you how much love I have to give.

I spent most of my life in a tough situation, chained up with a heavy chain that was just as big as me. When I was rescued, I was really skinny, and my ribs were showing, but I’m getting stronger every day and filling out nicely.

I’m still learning to trust people, but I’m gentle and calm. I really thrive when I’m around other dogs—they make me feel safe and happy. I’m submissive with other dogs and love being part of a pack. I also really like kids! Their gentle touch makes me feel warm and loved.

I know I have so much potential, and with a little patience, I can be the best companion. I just need a family who understands that trust takes time and who will help me learn how to be the confident, loving dog I know I can be. Could you be that family? I’d love to meet you!

------------------------
in Wisconsin:

She just arrived to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Friday, January 10th and is doing amazing in her new foster home. She is a super affectionate and loving girl. She is a little more confident than her sister (Karen). She is working on potty training since most of her life so far she has lived outside chained to a tree. Therefore, she will take a bit to learn all the manners of living in a home, but she is doing super well! She just wants to please and make her humans happy! She loves other dogs and gets along with everyone. She absolutely LOVES kids. The child at her previous home was probably the only one who was ever nice to her so she adores any attention from children that she can get. She is working on potty training and is already crate trained.

Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future.

All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed.

6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.
7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.
8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement.
