My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘NEW YEAR’S’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 38 lbs. & growing

Hello – I’m Toast!  My sibling and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control just before the new year, so we are the New Year’s themed pups!  We are both so happy to be starting 2025 as part of the Mostly Mutts family.  Now it’s time to meet new families of our own, so plan to visit me soon!  I’ve just gone into a foster home, so there should be more information about me soon.

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, but I love my sibling and would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home if you have a nice dog that would like a puppy friend, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I recently met kids at Mostly Mutts (age 10+) and liked them, so children that age or older in my new home may be nice.  I am a tad jumpy when I play, so best no toddlers or small children that I may bump over and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a super sweet and friendly pup who has a joyful and curious nature you are sure to love.  I spin and jump for joy when I see the volunteers coming to spend time with me.  I’m playful, affectionate, curious, confident and eager to learn. I am sure to bring lots of love to my new family! / My energy level is 4-6.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’ command and look forward to learning lots more. I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog -  so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m super affectionate and love to receive hugs and lots of petting. The play yards at Mostly Mutts are great fun, so I’d love a fenced yard where we can have lots of outside play sessions together.  I enjoy my walks with the volunteers and am gentle and calm for a puppy, so let’s explore together. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and neutered.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

More about this rescue

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
