My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As an FYI we have already surrendered Max to Animal Protection League in Anderson, IN, however I wanted to cross post here to see if we could catch a farther audience.

We had Max for almost 8 months at our home with two young children and another very docile dog. Max is incredibly special to our family as he was very loyal and loving to everyone in our home - including our two young boys, us (man and woman) and another dog. Max was a stray prior to us adopting him, and they estimated he was roughly around a year old. We did extensive training with him and he knows all main commands / is potty trained.

However, as to why we had to surrender him - while he was incredibly loving to our family, he was very territorial and too loyal. If someone he did not know well entered our house or property he would get aggressive, and unfortunately has nipped people - with young kids we couldn't risk this. We think he would do great in a home with few visitors and/or an area with a large property.
