My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Helloooo! I’m Starla and as you can see I am a beautiful husky mix! I was picked up by one of the nice deputies as I wandered around a neighborhood! I guess I had gotten lost from my home and I just couldn’t find my way back to my yard. A nice neighbor saw me and called Animal Control to pick me up. She wanted to make sure I was in a safe place as I waited for my owner to claim me. I was never claimed and now I am available for adoption. The shelter made sure I had all of my vaccinations, that I was heartworm negative, that I had a microchip, and that I was spayed. If you decide to adopt me please make sure you have a secure yard. You know us huskies….we love to run if we get the chance!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
