Name: Patches Best Guess for Breed: Domestic Short Hair

Best Guess for Age: 8 months (est. DOB 5/11/24) SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 6.6lbs (as of 1/10/25)

Coloring: grey and brown Type of Hair: short

Gets Along With: Patches gets along with other cats. Because of her young age, she will likely get along with dogs and kids with an acclimation period. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!

Currently Living at: Shelter... looking for a foster home to come up to DC area!

Special adoption considerations: Patches had both her eyes removed after a severe infection. Despite this, she gets around well!

I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Patches, and I am a sweet girl! I won’t ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
