My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Puppy is not eligible for adoption hold.

Agapito (aɡaˈpito) means beloved. His litter had a rough start. They were living outside and only 5 days old when the plea came to VHS to help them. The first really cold weather of the season was coming in a couple of days. 2 puppies of the litter had already died. We took the little family into foster care where they flourished. We call Agapito the little one because his brother, Bayani is 3 pounds bigger than him. Don's let his size and innocent look fool you. Agapito is a tough puppy. He gets vocal when wrestling with his mom or brother. Agapito usually instigates the play. He can play longer that his brother before tiring. He did indeed need to be taught "no bites" and "kisses please". He is a big kisser though. He loves to crawl up in a lap and give kisses.
When Agapito's brother, Bayani learned to climb out of the kiddie pool, that left Agapito alone in the pool when momma was not in there. He didn't cry. He is self soothing. Nothing seems to startle him. Although the big vacuum cleaner does have both puppies going as far away as possible. The robo vac does not bother them. Agapito doesn't meet a stranger. He is ready to get know new people and other dogs. He has been around 2 other dogs and a frequent visiting dog in his foster home.
Agapito's foster mom had his brother DNA tested as the boys started growing fluffy. Be sure to ask for a copy of the results of Bayani's DNA test in the adoption packet. It came back 28% American Pit Bull terrier, 15% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% Boxer, 7% Chihuahua (can see that in momma), 6% Chow Chow (must have come from dad and gives the fluffy coat). Agapito might have slightly different percentages. This puppy is 99% sweet along with 1% spicy!
