My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

📸 Meet Kodak – Your Picture-Perfect Companion! 🐾

Say hello to Kodak, a two-year-old Heeler Heinz 57 mix with a heart as big as his signature smile. This dashing boy is the total package—sweet, smart, and oh-so-lovable!

Why Kodak Stands Out:
- Manners & Commands: Kodak is a quick learner who already knows plenty of commands, making him a dream to have around.
- Social Butterfly: He adores people of all ages, is wonderful with kids, and gets along well with other dogs (though no small breed dogs, please—he might mistake them for prey). He’s even cat-tolerant!
- Fun-Loving Nature: Fetch is his game, and he’s always ready to play. That adorable ear sticking straight up? It's always on alert for a good time!
- Ready for You: Neutered, up-to-date on his rabies vaccination, and eager to find his forever family.

Things to Know:
Kodak’s adventurous side means he’s a natural digger, so a secure yard is a must to keep him safe. While mostly housebroken, he may mark indoors, especially after living with another male dog. He’s also a little possessive of food and treats around other dogs, so feeding separately is a good idea.

Kodak is brimming with love, loyalty, and personality, just waiting to make someone’s family complete. Could that be you?

📅 Come meet Kodak today and see why he’s the missing piece to your happily-ever-after!

More about this shelter

We have a small, rural, government-run Animal Control facility dedicated solely to dogs. This entails accepting both owner surrenders and stray animals found on the streets. Our team consists of four dedicated individuals: two full-time Animal Control Officers, one part-time Kennel Tech, and one part-time Animal Care Assistant. We have limited office staff, and our presence in the office may be intermittent. For the most reliable communication, please reach out by phone. While we do not have a voicemail system, calls will be forwarded to our dispatch center where you can leave a message. Additionally, all transactions are by appointment only.
