🎵"Out of all the doggies you know you're the mastermind.... Run, run Rudolph, ACOs ain't too far behind.... Run, run Rudolph, Santa's gotta make it to Princess Anne. Santa, make him hurry, take the bipass if he can"🎵
Joining the HSWC sled team Salisbury division, we are thrilled to introduce our very own Rudolph!! There is no red nose, but this dear sweet boy is ready to lead the search to find his forever home. He's been hunting high and low, traveling the countryside with Santa and the ACOs to find his true love. This athletic young fella is quite the adventurer. He's a self starter, independent, and reserved at first. He warms up quickly. Once he decides on a plan he is swift to execute it. He arrived as a stray. Surprisingly, no one claimed him. Well, we can tell you, he is a real treasure. We have all enjoyed this fella's gentle nature. He is very lovable and easy to be around. He seems to get along with all the other reindeer. And their cat friends to. He will thrive in an active home where he can get out and about to go on lively hikes a few times a day, sleigh rides and maybe even go for a run. What's that? You have a secure fenced in yard? That's Perfect for this active guy. He also enjoys seeing the sights, so you will have a great traveling buddy. Currently weighing in at 67 pounds. Come on out to meet this wonderful fella and give him some nice scratches through his beautiful wavy locks of amber honey fur. He will have you wrapped around his antler in no time.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
