FOSTER CARE!
Hello, I'm Artie! I'm a 3-and-a-half-year-old, 13lbs., neutered male, Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Poodle mix with the most adorable underbite you've ever seen. When I came into the shelter, I was really shy, so I went into a foster home, and I've been living my best life. My foster parents have been taking me out to meet new people, and I've been doing really well, so I'll need an adopter who will continue working on my socialization. My fosters say I'm a happy, friendly, playful guy who loves his toys. I was a good boy at the groomer, I'm house trained and crate trained, and I walk politely on leash. I recently went on a vacation and was a trooper in the snow (check out the pic of me in my snow boots!). I also don't trigger my foster mom's allergies, so that's a nice bonus, too. When I was at the shelter, I made friends with a couple staff members and would sit on their lap while they answered emails. Overall, I'm a sweet, silly little guy who loves to play but also enjoys settling down and hanging with my people.

You may also submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile.

Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays).
We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
