My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Mittens! I am an orange and white tabby male, estimated to be around 3 years old. I was found wandering around a neighborhood, no collar, tag, or microchip. A caring person brought me inside from the cold. She described me as friendly. I`m still adjusting to my new surroundings, but staff and volunteers have found me to be mellow and outgoing. It certainly is great to be indoors and getting regular meals. My experience with dogs, children, and other cats is unknown. Gradual introductions are always a good idea. If I might be a good fit for your family, stop by Animal Ark and introduce yourself. (I did test positive for feline leukemia, a common virus that effects about 2% of the U.S. cat population. It is not transmittable to humans or species other than cats. Staff will be glad to answer any questions.)

Submit Application

You are welcome to fill out the application online at https://animalarkmn.org/adopt/ or in person at the Animal Ark (2600 Industrial Court).

Meet the Pet

Please call ahead to make sure that the pet you are interested in is at the Ark and someone is available to show you the pet.

Approve Application

Home Check

For Cats we do a virtual home visit once the application is approved. For Dogs we do an in person home visit after we do a meet and greet.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once a home visit is done and approved, we will set up a day and time for you to sign a contract and take the pet home!

Additional adoption info

We do not do same day adoptions.

Adoption Fees:
• Dogs and puppies: $200-$800
• Adult Cats: $180
• Kittens: $225
• Senior Cats: $125
